Closer relations between citizens and their free movement within the EU increases need for a ‘European area of justice’. GHK has undertaken a large number of assignments assessing existing and prospective EU level interventions in the areas of:
- fundamental rights;
- civil, commercial and criminal law
- borders
- drugs abuse policy.
This work takes account of the scale and nature of underlying problems, the costs of inaction and the repercussions on EU and third country citizens.
